Alicia,

When a parent sends their child off to school, they worry whether their son or daughter will fit in, be bullied or worse... but when you have a special needs child or a child that learns differently, the worries are even worse. We sent our son to both public and private schools and those worries never went away. Then we found Providence Academy. We can honestly say since our son's first day at the west campus we have not had any concerns or reasons to worry. These special children are treated how they deserve to be, with kindness, understanding, compassion and most of all love. We are so thankful that a school like Providence exists and teachers like the ones we have are there for our children.

Sincerely,
Pauline & Craig

Dear Alicia,
I wanted to write this letter to you, to express how Scott and I feel about everything that you have done for our son, Logan, and our family.
We had already been through 5 different schools, including some private and special needs schools, when we came to The Providence Academy in January of 2007.  That was the moment things turned around for our Logan.

We had already been through 5 different schools, including some private and special needs schools, when we came to The Providence Academy in January of 2007.  That was the moment things turned around for our Logan.  He was unable to sit in class, perform a task, and even getting him to school was unimaginable.  He disliked anything to do with learning or being told what to do, and absolutely refused to go to school every day.

You and your staff didn’t let his behavior stop you from continuing to be strong and help him no matter what.  Even on the many days when he would sit in class and throw a tantrum for hours, you never gave up on him.  Your patience is amazing and a blessing to those that you help every day.

Not only did you help Logan, but you helped Scott and I, by spending your time with us, giving us information and tools to use at home.

As I said before, we had been to many schools and met with a lot of professionals trying to help our son Logan, with no success.  That is why you will always be a special person in our lives, that we will never forget.

“Thank You” could never be enough for what you have done, and we will always be grateful to you.

Alicia,
For many years my son struggled in the Orange County Public Schools. The search for not only a school, but a teacher that was able to understand my son needs was a daily chore. I knew the search was going to be difficult since my son had Autism, ADHD and speech delay. My son had severe delays in writing, reading, math, comprehension and his social skills were the worst. My desperation for answers was bigger than ever. After taking my son to 13 different doctors (including out of state), and trying medicines, diets, interventions and therapies; I was going to give up. But I decided to try one more time and that is when I met a very knowledgeable private School Psychologist, Alicia Braccia. She gave me all the confidence I needed. She carefully analyzed my son’s situation and understood he needed an intensive customized program. As a result of that, Providence Academy was born. At the beginning of the school year, my 9 year old son was academically evaluated and it was determined that his academic level was at Kindergarten level or below. At the end of the school year I learned my son advanced two and half grade levels in many areas. He was working harder than ever, loved his new school and had for the first time: friends. My son not only learned how to write, but to create wonderful stories. Providence Academy changed our lives forever and is building a tomorrow for my son. Thanks Alicia Braccia and Providence Academy teachers”.

The Providence Academy's Golf Tournament Fundraiser brought tears of joy to my eyes to see all the players supporting Providence Academy. My 10 year old son has been successful academically and socially at the school. The support the community has shown at the Golf Tournament will help to build a better tomorrow not only for my son but to other kids like him. God bless all the players and sponsors for their kindness.
