School Hours
Arrival:
Our school day begins at 8:30 am. Students should arrive between 8:15 am and 8:25 am so classes may begin promptly at 8:30 am. Please make every effort to be punctual so that we can make the most of our day. Since classes start at 8:30, if your child is late, they will miss required work and this may affect their grade.
The school office opens at 8:00 am and that is when the door will be unlocked. Students are not to arrive any earlier than 8:15 am unless extended care has been scheduled in advance with a staff member.
If you are late due to traffic, car trouble or any circumstance beyond your control during your commute, we certainly understand. If possible, please call the school and notify the office manager, who will inform your child’s teacher. If you have an appointment scheduled that will cause your child to be late, please notify us either by telephone, email or a note prior to that day.
Dismissal:
Our school day ends at 2:30 pm. It is important for our
students to learn and adhere to a consistent routine to assist them in developing their personal organizational skills. Upon dismissal your child will gather his or her own belongings, bags, lunchboxes etc. and will be dismissed by their homeroom teacher.
